HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN
1. Prepare your mould - Lightly spray with mould release if required. If your mould has a split, carefully line up the edges and secure it with the supplied elastic bands.
2. Add the wick - Thread your wick through the mould using a wicking needle. Centre the wick and secure it across the top with a lolly stick or bobby pin. Don't pull the wick too tightly.
3. Melt your beeswax - Gently melt your beeswax using a bain-marie, keeping the heat low. Beeswax should be around 66–71°C (150–160°F) when ready for pouring. Never leave melting wax unattended.
4. Pour your candle - Carefully pour the melted beeswax into the mould until around three-quarters full. Gently tilt the mould to help release trapped air bubbles, then fill to the top.
5. Leave it to cool - Allow the candle to cool and completely harden. Cooling time will vary depending on the size and shape of your mould.
6. The best bit - reveal your candle! - Remove the bands and wick support, gently open the mould along the seam and carefully ease your candle out. Trim the wick to around 1.25cm (½ inch) and your handmade beeswax candle is ready!
