A point that is often over looked is the attractant. Example - the wasp trap should NOT be placed on top or near your hives, stand it off, hanging in a tree or on a post, it is sort of obvious that the trap will do its job, but for the wasps, once they start on a hive, it is hard to stop them, so why invite them into the location of the hive?
It is also surprising sometimes how quickly the bait gets dried up in this heat, so check the trap regularly at least twice per week and let's hope we all survive one of our Honeybees many predators.
